Kitt Rose was born and raised in the Midwest. Having lived most of her life in a small city alongside Lake Michigan in the friendly state of Wisconsin, she’s also called Missouri and Indiana home. With her head in the clouds and her nose in a book, she was teased mercilessly by her family for being more interested in words than sports, games, or even television.
It seemed only natural when she began to write in fifth grade. Her first story was nearly award winning (if only her penmanship had been better!) featuring a shy wheelchair bound girl, and a brave little boy who defended her from bullies. Gradually as the years went by she progressed from flash fiction to poetry to short stories.
It wasn’t until a good twenty years later that she sat down and wrote an entire book. The muse was chatty and in four weeks she had the first draft, all 73,000 words of it, of Bound. Kitt is currently seeking representation for the now 83,000 word novel.
When Kitt isn’t writing or reading, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four year old son, playing with her cat Frankie (who thinks he’s a dog,) listening to her ever growing diverse music collection, watching scary movies, cheering on her Blackhawks, and playing the odd video game… all while sipping some tea.
